- Solo players who want a purely competitive multiplayer game may find the campaign focus mismatched
- Players seeking realistic sports presentation may not fit the robot-focused arcade format
Our take on RoboDunk
The bounce point arrives when a player expects basketball to remain the central system: success also depends on tackles, weapons, temporary round modifiers, and hazards. Players wanting fixed rules or predictable opponents may also stall at the randomized campaign routes.
What is RoboDunk?
RoboDunk combines basketball with combat in a single-player or cooperative roguelite campaign.
Players select routes through changing matches featuring different opponents, rules, hazards, and rewards. Robots can be purchased, leveled, and improved through individual upgrade trees, while a larger skill tree adds further progression. Each round offers temporary modifications such as extra jumps, electrified passes, and increased ammunition. Matches include powered dunks, tackles, weapons, and hazards including rollers, tornadoes, jump pads, and meteors. Permanent upgrades can be purchased after a defeat. A local multiplayer mode supports 1–4 players, and cooperative play allows a friend to join or leave during the campaign. A versus mode provides matches for up to 4 players.
