Our take on Roadside Research
The game’s dual role creates a trade-off: time spent serving customers and maintaining the station competes with alien research and suspicion control. The routine human work is therefore part of the central tension, rather than a separate activity.
What is Roadside Research?
Operate a gas station on Earth as an undercover alien, alone or with up to three other players.
During the day, restock shelves, order shop supplies, refuel passing customers, prepare food, and exchange goods for cash while maintaining a human disguise. Research remains a separate objective: scan, steal, and test methods on customers to gather data without raising the suspicion meter. Excessive suspicion brings government officials to the station. After closing, plan the next day and improve both the station and alien technology. Station upgrades can attract more customers, while alien upgrades improve data processing and information gathering. The game is presented as an Early Access title with a stated 2026 roadmap.

- 05Suspicion Management
- Human officials visit when the suspicion meter rises too high, putting the disguised aliens at risk.
