Coffee Talk Tokyo is a narrative game about working the night shift at a small café in present-day Tokyo.
Preparing drinks goes alongside conversations with human and yōkai patrons, whose stories touch on relationships, grief, selfhood, retirement, and life after death. Choices in dialogue can change what happens to them. The beverage menu covers both warm and chilled options, plus milk, latte decorations, sprinkle patterns, and hand-drawn details. Tomodachill, a social platform within the game, uses tappable hashtags to uncover concealed entries, character hints, and further narrative information. Drink orders, conversation decisions, and social posts can all steer the story toward different conclusions. Andrew “AJ” Jeremy provides a new lo-fi musical score.
