Our take on ROAD HOMEWARD
The open maps and limited voice guidance leave route-finding to the player, but that also means less direct direction through the story. Its focus on a lone driver’s escape leaves little room for interaction with other characters.
What is ROAD HOMEWARD?
ROAD HOMEWARD is an adventure about a military driver stranded on an island after receiving a message that it will be destroyed.
The other characters have left, and the driver must find a route home and escape by car. The setting includes forests, winter forests and deserts. Large maps can be explored beyond the route needed to finish the game. The player can switch between first-person and third-person views. Guidance comes from the main character’s voice, so the player must work out where to go. The game also features physics for objects and cars, along with distinct sounds for each map.
