Is Rezrog worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Dungeon-crawler fans who want turn-based battles with resource management
- RPG players who enjoy party rotation and rescuing captured characters
- Players seeking repeatable runs with procedural layouts and persistent progression
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a stable party lineup may hit a wall when only one hero can enter an expedition at a time.
- Players who prefer low-stakes progression may bounce off whole-party capture ending the journey through permadeath.
- Players seeking a primarily story-led RPG may find the emphasis on dungeon exploration and tactical combat too narrow.
Our take on Rezrog
The bounce point arrives when a full-party capture ends the run. Players who tolerate losing progress but dislike rebuilding around retained stat points may stop there, especially after investing in shared gear, skills, and a carefully balanced roster.
What is Rezrog?
Rezrog is a tabletop-inspired, turn-based dungeon crawler about leading a team of heroes through a troubled fantasy land.
Only one party member enters each expedition at a time, while other heroes can rescue captured companions. Combat requires planning actions, managing resources, and targeting enemy weaknesses. Procedurally generated dungeons vary between runs and include traps, events, equipment, and lethal encounters. Heroes can equip, craft, and upgrade items, discover and improve skills, and share gear and abilities across the team. The game includes 100 dungeon levels across 10 environments, seven character classes, more than 60 upgradeable skills, over 120 enemies, and boss encounters. If the entire party is captured, the run ends, while forged gems preserve stat points for a later party.
How Rezrog plays
- 01Rotating Party Members
- A single hero enters each expedition, and another party member can be used to recover someone who has been captured.
- 02Turn-Based Tactics
- Battles involve choosing actions carefully, conserving resources, and exploiting weaknesses among different enemies.
- 03Procedural Dungeons
- Each run changes the dungeon layout and combines exploration events with equipment and environmental hazards.
- 04Persistent Progression
- Forged gems retain stat points for a new party after a complete party capture ends the current journey.
- 05Character Development
- Seven classes and more than 60 skills provide different ways to develop the heroes.
- 06Large Dungeon Campaign
- The adventure spans 100 levels and 10 environments with more than 120 enemy types and boss fights.
Rezrog compared to similar games
