Our take on Revolution Ace
The extensive loadout system adds planning between encounters, but it also makes the game less immediate than a shoot'em up built around a fixed weapon set. Players who want reflex-focused play without choosing upgrades, slots, and perks may find customization slows the pace.
What is Revolution Ace?
Revolution Ace is a tactical shoot'em up about infiltrating an AI core during a war against machines.
Players begin with a basic ship and earn cash and experience by defeating enemies, then unlock weapons, technologies, weapon slots, and passive perks. Loadouts can be configured across hundreds of combinations, including plasma shields, wave beams, ion cannons, piercing, and shield stealing. Combat features air, land, and sea enemies, with simulated water and physics-based reactions to damage. Online and local two-player co-op are available, while Versus mode lets one player send enemies and hazards against an opponent.
