Our take on Frontiers Reach
Players who want to settle into one fixed fighter setup may hit a wall in the hangar, where aircraft have different duties and the game offers changes to paint, modules, and weapons before missions.
What is Frontiers Reach?
Frontiers Reach is a starfighter combat game set during an interstellar war in 2230.
Players take on story missions, side operations, skirmishes, planetary battles, and rescue missions across more than 30 locations in space and on planets. Fighters in the hangar have different duties, and players can change their paint, modules, and weapons. Missions include fighting for control of planets, skirmishing on friendly nodes, and rescuing vessels to add to the fleet.
The campaign follows Captain Anya Zuban and First Mate Rhen Malavik as they prepare the Heliosiren and a group of survivors to escape the approaching war. Its visual style draws on Atompunk, Cassette Futurism, and mid-20th-century retro-futurist art. AI-generated content includes some 2D character art, two music pieces, and about two hours of narrative voice.
