Play it if you…
Good fit- Horror fans who want investigation and exorcism as the main activities

- Players who prefer changing cases and separate challenge settings
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed campaign with one unfolding story may find the generated contract structure unsuitable

- Solo players may miss the ghost abilities and proximity voice chat available in multiplayer
Our take on Remnant Records
Instead of making the supernatural encounter the whole challenge, the game puts interpretation first. Players reconstruct a spirit’s history from objects and written evidence before attempting an exorcism, replacing a straightforward encounter structure with clue-led investigations.
What is Remnant Records?
This horror investigation game supports 1 to 4 players.
Missions place the newest recruit of a paranormal agency in haunted locations to study spirits and uncover what happened to them. Players search for diaries, newspaper clippings, unusual objects, and other clues connected to each ghost before attempting an exorcism. Spirits have distinct appearances, behaviors, and reactions, including entities affected by light, shadow, or sound. Four roles offer different contributions, such as breaking through doors or connecting with the dead. Procedural contracts create a new story to decipher for each mission. Progression unlocks features, customizable difficulty, and modifiers, with separate settings for the investigation and ghost. Multiplayer includes proximity voice chat and ghost abilities that only appear when playing with others.
