Our take on REMEDIUM
The store copy gives substantial space to atmosphere, visuals, and sound, while the playable structure described is centered on repeated shooting encounters, upgrades, random Plagues, and boss fights. The presentation may therefore suggest a broader exploration experience than the listed combat systems establish.
What is REMEDIUM?
REMEDIUM is a twin-stick shooter set more than a century after a plague devastated a Renaissance-inspired continent.
As an infected survivor, the player fights mutants and chimeras while searching for a cure. Combat combines gunplay, movement, dodging, and alchemical abilities. Weapons and equipment can be upgraded with resources and modified at workbenches using elemental effects for attacks, dashes, and healing. Random Plagues impose effects such as reduced accuracy or uncontrolled firing; cures found throughout levels can remove these debuffs or turn them to an advantage. The journey passes through cemeteries, crypts, laboratories, and ruined cities, with boss encounters requiring timing and tactical use of abilities.

REMEDIUM compared to similar games
REMEDIUM centers on twin-stick shooting, alchemical abilities, weapon modification, Plagues, and boss battles. Ghost of a Tale emphasizes stealth, disguises, conversations, and exploration, while Vagante presents a dark-fantasy adventure involving monsters, demons, and questing rather than REMEDIUM's plague-survival shooter structure.
