What is REFUGE?
REFUGE is a single-player, third-person roguelike action adventure set in a handcrafted open world.
Explore the environment, fight hordes of enemies, and defeat bosses with melee or ranged weapons. Combat combines slasher elements with slower attacks and dodge rolls. Death ends the current run, but a special currency earned from bosses remains available and can unlock items for later playthroughs. The game includes more than 60 unique items, which can grant powers and visually change the character. Modulators alter game properties, while new items support different builds in subsequent runs. Each attempt combines exploration, combat, boss encounters, permanent death, and access to previously unlocked items.
