Our take on REDSHOT
The game prioritizes open-ended exploration and combat choice, so progression is less linear than in a fixed-level action game. That flexibility comes with a navigation and decision-making burden: players must choose routes, weapons, and encounter strategies while managing stamina during fights.
What is REDSHOT?
REDSHOT is a bullet-time metroidvania set in Carcosa, a city and surrounding land threatened by an off-world invader.
Players explore a non-linear map, restore the defense network, and tackle objectives after the opening area in any order. Combat combines more than 10 guns, secondary weapons, 360-degree aiming and dodging, and a focus bar that slows time but drains stamina. The game includes over 30 enemy types, more than 12 bosses, eight distinct areas, upgrades, secrets, recruitable AI companions, and movement abilities such as double-jumping. Three difficulty settings, a post-game rating system, and speedrunning support provide additional structure. The estimated playtime is 8–12 hours, with multiplayer now available.

REDSHOT lists more than 200 rooms, over 30 enemy types, and more than 12 bosses; Sundered’s supplied description does not specify comparable counts or the same combat systems.
