Our take on Martha
The pitch pairs survival-horror tension with action, including firearms, melee weapons, and bare-fist combat. It also presents fighting and fleeing as alternatives, while limited ammunition and dangerous enemies make combat a choice rather than the only way through encounters.
What is Martha?
Martha is a first-person survival horror game about freelance reporter Isabelle Hewitt, who travels to the Albrecht Estate to find her missing colleague, Jack Meyer.
The story follows a series of disappearances tied to the estate and asks whether a family curse, a serial killer, or something else is behind them. Explore the house and find notes and artifacts to uncover the story. Puzzles include codes, combinations, and key searches. Combat uses firearms, melee weapons, or bare fists, but ammunition is limited and enemies are deadly, so encounters can be handled by fighting or fleeing. The non-linear structure lets players choose the order of challenges and find their own route.
How Martha plays
- 01Combat choices
- Firearms, melee weapons, and bare fists can be used against enemies, while limited ammunition makes fleeing another option.
- 02Clue-based story
- Notes and artifacts found in the estate reveal information about its history and the disappearances.
- 03Non-linear challenges
- Players can choose the sequence of challenges and the route through them.
- 04Environmental puzzles
- Progress includes cracking codes, finding combinations, and locating keys.
