StrategyIs Reassembly worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want to build and repeatedly modify custom spacecraft
- Strategy fans who want resource collection and fleet growth
- Players interested in generated universes populated by ships from other players
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed universe rather than procedurally generated exploration
- Players who prefer a stable spacecraft design instead of repeated vessel changes and fleet growth
- Players looking for synchronous multiplayer rather than asynchronous encounters
Our take on Reassembly
The defining structure is ship growth: a vessel can develop into a battleship that produces a fleet, while each fleet member can generate another fleet.
What is Reassembly?
Reassembly combines spacecraft building, resource collection, fleet expansion, and universe exploration.
Players shape vessels with different forms and colors, then modify them with weapons, shields, and armor as their fleets grow. Ships can eventually produce additional fleets, while alien opponents vary in shape, size, and intensity. The game presents vector-based visuals with particle effects, physics that give weight to creations, and reactive AI. Its procedurally generated universes can include ships created by other players through asynchronous multiplayer. The audio includes noises, musical moods, and a soundtrack by Peter Brown of Peaks.
How Reassembly plays
- 01Ship Construction
- Vessels can be shaped and recolored, then fitted with weapons, shields, and armor.
- 02Generated Universe
- Exploration takes place in a procedurally generated universe.
- 03Fleet Expansion
- Larger ships can produce additional fleets, whose members can also create fleets.
- 04Asynchronous Multiplayer
- Universes can contain ships created by other players.
- 05Reactive Alien AI
- Opposing ships vary in shape, size, and intensity.
- 06Weighted Creations
- Physics give the player-built vessels weight.
