Our take on Raw Metal
Rather than keeping stealth and combat in separate modes, the game turns detection into a possible transition to fast, punishing fighting. Its extraction structure also makes each incursion a choice between securing loot and risking a deeper push.
What is Raw Metal?
Play as a lone scavenger infiltrating Katabase 6, a mining facility on the exoplanet Charybdis.
Sneak past guards with taser darts, noisemakers, concussion grenades, and other equipment, or fight when stealth fails. The game combines top-down stealth with third-person beat ’em up combat, including freeform combos based on timing and positioning. Find and upgrade more than 50 gear pieces, alter their appearance, and shape builds around stealth, armor, gadgets, or attacks. An extraction system lets players cash out loot or push deeper for greater rewards, with lost gear confiscated after defeat. Nine hand-crafted levels include variants, while environmental hazards and enemy types change the infiltration challenges. Three bosses feature distinct fighting styles, and Boss Training provides practice before real encounters.
