The likely bounce point is the movement model: clicking a new destination does not necessarily change Virnu’s course at once, because existing velocity must be overcome. Players who expect direct, immediate steering may find this friction apparent as soon as hazards approach from multiple directions.
What is Quip Anomaly?
Quip Anomaly is a 2D space dodge game in which players guide Virnu around hazards, collect research, and obtain power-ups.
It has 34 levels with increasing difficulty, plus an Endless mode that challenges players to last as long as possible. Movement uses Newtonian physics: players click a destination, and Virnu accelerates or decelerates toward it, so existing momentum can delay a change of direction. Hazards arrive from every direction, while indicators at the screen edges show the direction of off-screen objects.
Three enemy types and three defensive power-up types appear in the game; power-ups are activated with the number keys. Unlocking levels reveals more of Virnu’s story, with voice-over, original music, and sound effects. An online leaderboard lets players compare results.
