Our take on Protolife: Other Side
The core format reverses tower defense: instead of building defenses, players lead alien squads through them, repeating stages to evacuate more survivors.
What is Protolife: Other Side?
This arcade spin-off of Protolife puts players in control of an alien overseer tasked with evacuating surviving creatures from a colonized planet.
Guide a squad through defensive lines across 6 zones, moving the leader directly while the other creatures follow. Squad abilities can be activated during a run. The game includes 5 creature species with different abilities and 4 shared abilities. Each level must be completed multiple times to evacuate more creatures, and every attempt increases the difficulty. Special missions affect other levels. The environments include partly destructible terrain, familiar towers and buildings from Protolife used as enemies, and new structures. Controls support keyboard, keyboard and mouse, or a gamepad.
