AdventureIs Jin & Jan worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Puzzle players who enjoy controlling two characters with opposing movement
- Solo or family players seeking level-based coordination challenges
- Players willing to retry levels while learning enemy timing
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who need direct, independent control of every character will hit a wall when Jan reverses each command.
- Players who dislike progressively harder puzzles may struggle as the 45 levels increase in difficulty.
- Players seeking a combat-focused game may find the emphasis on puzzles, movement, and avoidance too limited.
Our take on Jin & Jan
The bounce point comes when inverse movement and enemy timing must be handled together. Players who plan one brother’s route at a time can get stuck because each command also changes Jan’s position, while some enemies continue moving in real time.
What is Jin & Jan?
Jin & Jan is a puzzle adventure in which two ghost siblings work to reunite the Light and Dark Worlds.
Players control Jin directly, while Jan travels in the reverse direction, requiring careful planning for both characters. Each stage involves avoiding hazards and hostile creatures, then guiding the pair to the ritual’s destination. Foes behave differently: certain enemies move continuously, whereas others respond only when the player acts. The game offers 45 levels that become progressively harder and test timing, coordination, and problem solving. Failure allows repeated attempts and learning. Jin & Jan supports solo play as well as sessions with friends or family.
How Jin & Jan plays
- 01Inverse character movement
- Jin follows commands while Jan moves in the opposite direction, requiring both characters’ paths to be planned together.
- 02Mixed enemy timing
- Some enemies move continuously, while others respond whenever the player takes an action.
- 0345 puzzle levels
- The game provides 45 levels with progressively higher difficulty.
