Our take on Project Wunderwaffe
Rather than centering on armies moving across a conventional battlefield, the game places the player inside a hidden underground weapons project. Its strategy structure combines facility management, research, intelligence work, propaganda, and defense around one experimental superweapon.
What is Project Wunderwaffe?
Project Wunderwaffe is a World War II strategy game about constructing a concealed underground military complex while Germany faces advancing Allied and Soviet forces.
Players organize corridors and specialized rooms, provide water and electricity, extract resources, research technologies, decode information, and manage production. The project includes recruiting scientists, spies, and agents, working with intelligence, and developing weapons such as super missiles, invisible vehicles, and Die Glocke. Enemy pressure includes attacks on the base and resource supplies, sabotage, bribery attempts, and intelligence operations. Propaganda and fear can influence the conflict, while decisions affect the project. The objective is to complete a weapon capable of changing the course of the war.

Project Wunderwaffe compared to similar games
Project Wunderwaffe focuses on building and operating an underground military complex, developing experimental weapons, managing resources, and delaying advancing enemies. Until We Die also centers on underground base defense, but uses a subway station, meteorite-driven attacks, and a survival target of about 30 game days. Dungeon Defenders: Awakened combines cooperative action RPG play with tower defense, loot, leveling, pets, and character customization rather than a World War II weapons-development campaign.
