Our take on Project LUX
Project LUX shifts VR away from an experience built around activities and toward an animated story. Its structure places the player in the agent’s viewpoint while the trial’s investigation proceeds through his memory data.
What is Project LUX?
Project LUX is a VR adventure framed as a murder trial in a future society where cyberbrains are common.
The accused is an agent who works with artists to produce material that lets cyberbrains engage with human emotions; Lux, an artist, is the victim. The jury examines the case by revisiting the agent’s stored memories and watching events unfold between him and Lux. Presented as an animated, story-focused experience from the agent’s viewpoint, the narrative spans five episodes. Aimi Tanaka voices Lux, and Teruaki Ogawa voices the agent. The game is presented in VR using an HMD.
How Project LUX plays

- 02Five-episode structure
