Our take on Procyon
Rather than limiting the action to a single fixed run, the game offers level selection in normal mode and a separate one-life survival mode. Local co-op also shifts the usual solo arcade-shooter structure toward shared play, while portrait support follows the vertical format associated with top-down shooting.
What is Procyon?
Procyon is a top-down shoot-'em-up about piloting an experimental ship against extraterrestrial forces.
The campaign consists of five stages with increasing enemy populations. Two weapons can be switched during play: bullets cover broad areas with high damage, while a locking beam focuses on difficult targets. Shields allow the ship to pass through enemy attacks unharmed, and weapons can be overcharged for greater destructive force. Modes include a normal option that starts at any level and a survival mode with one life. Local co-op supports two players. Portrait orientation is available for play in a vertical layout, alongside an original faux-orchestral soundtrack.
