Our take on Prehistoric Kingdom
The game trades a tightly focused management loop for a broad park-building sandbox. Terrain editing, animal development, staff logistics, and first-person exploration all compete for attention, so players seeking a narrow management interface may find the design diffuse.
What is Prehistoric Kingdom?
Manage a zoo populated by more than 50 revived prehistoric species, including woolly mammoths and spinosauruses.
Discover, incubate, and release animals while meeting the needs of guests, staff, and wildlife. Animals mature from young to adult, with changing proportions, sounds, and behavior; they eat, drink, sleep, herd, and socialize. Shape large park areas by cutting rivers, raising mountains, and placing facilities individually. Themed prefabs and Steam Workshop structures provide additional building options. Plan infrastructure, generate or import resources, and assign trainable staff to keep kiosks and feeders supplied. A first-person mode allows park exploration, habitat visits, binocular viewing, and sitting on benches.
