Rather than placing players in a fixed Wild West map, the game makes world construction part of the adventure. Biomes are assembled piece by piece, while farming, crafting, and base building sit alongside quests and combat instead of serving only as side activities.
What is Above Snakes?
Above Snakes is an isometric adventure RPG with mild survival elements and a piece-by-piece worldbuilding system.
Players assemble areas from different biomes, gather resources, and use them to craft food, tools, weapons, and equipment. Activities include hunting, fishing, farming, base construction, exploration, and combat against environmental hazards and Lost Souls. Modular building supports outposts, workstations, furniture, and gardens. Farming involves finding seeds, growing crops, watering plants, using fertilizer, and harvesting goods. The game includes a long-term progression system, quests that can be completed at an individual pace, and a light story about a young woman caught in a conflict. More than 100 world pieces are available, alongside controller support, control remapping, camera options, photosensitive mode, and separate volume controls.
