Our take on POPGOES Arcade
Rather than stopping after one RPG campaign, the game includes a built-in sequel that opens after the first campaign is completed. Its Fighting Chance overhaul also introduces random battle modifiers, shifting the battle setup beyond a fixed set of encounters.
What is POPGOES Arcade?
POPGOES Arcade is a retro-styled RPG with two campaigns: The Dead Forest and its sequel, POPGOES and The Machinist.
Players explore an expanding map, fight enemies, and collect items and abilities while uncovering characters, secrets, and lore. The sequel adds new areas, enemies, and abilities, and becomes available after The Dead Forest is completed. The Steam release also includes a customizable room for displaying progress, weapons, and trophies, along with a Bestiary and Index covering encountered enemies and offering tips. The Fighting Chance overhaul, released in 2025, adds random Battle Gifts that modify battles and redesigns abilities, mechanics, and visuals. The game is an official Five Nights at Freddy’s spinoff, featuring familiar series characters alongside new ones.
