Our take on Pet
The defining constraint is its one-sitting structure: each playthrough takes around 60 minutes and cannot be manually saved, while progress carries over between endings.
What is Pet?
Pet is a horror visual novel about returning home through a city after a late night out to feed Kuma, a cat.
During the journey, the protagonist finds a vending machine in a dark alley. The story contains approximately 7k words, and choices lead to 4(? ) distinct endings. A playthrough takes around 60 minutes and is intended for one sitting. Manual saving is unavailable during a playthrough, but the game saves between endings. Closing the game from the main menu allows the story to be continued later. The game uses light visual effects, including screen tearing and glitches, and does not include jump scares. A working vending machine and a cat are also listed among its features.
