Our take on CABALL
The sticking point is the story-first format: players expecting action or exploration may hit a wall once Veronica’s investigation unfolds through narrative choices rather than hands-on challenges.
What is CABALL?
Veronica writes texts and commentary for Snezhana, a local fortune-teller, despite not believing in mysticism.
When Snezhana withholds Veronica’s salary, Veronica goes to confront her, but finds Lynn and Amalia instead. They are connected to the fortune-teller, who has left town and given each of them a strange letter with instructions. Veronica must piece together what happened and confront events beyond what she believed possible. The story branches according to the choices made, with each choice affecting the ending. It has seven endings, an original soundtrack, a mystical atmosphere, and over 40,000 words.
