The defining structure is the split between committing a murder and surviving the resulting investigation, with every movement, interaction, and witness affecting the case.
What is Perfect Crime?
Perfect Crime is a detective game focused on the logic of criminal investigation rather than conventional jigsaw puzzles or minigames.
Players choose a murder weapon, decide when and where to act, create an alibi, and remove or redirect traces. Calls, visits, touched objects, tool marks, and struggles can become evidence. Characters have different personalities and may react differently to bodies or suspicious actions.
Psychological pressure can prevent dangerous actions, so it must be managed during planning. The game has two sections: a crime phase for arranging the murder and destroying evidence, followed by an investigation phase in which police examine suspects, alibis, routines, and suspicious details. An editor lets players create cases, play them, and release them as MODs through Steam Work.
