What is PARRYMAN?
Parryman is a hardcore action game centered on parrying.
The player advances across an island whose inhabitants have turned against them after being overtaken by a group with advanced science and technology. Combat permits only the counterattack skill: a successful parry can defeat most enemies in one hit. The game also includes traps that can be parried, with the resulting recoil enabling different movements. Progress therefore depends on recognizing enemy and trap attacks, then timing counters rather than using a range of offensive abilities. Its structure focuses on testing parrying ability through encounters with hostile inhabitants and environmental hazards.
