Our take on Paresis®
The defining constraint is that the player cannot move, making leaning the main way to locate Morphs while flame energy provides the means to repel them.
What is Paresis®?
Paresis is a horror game set in an isolated house where the player cannot move around normally.
Each Phase requires five minutes of survival while up to four rooms become available and introduce different Morph enemies. Leaning reveals their locations, while flame energy forces them away. Morphs vary in traits such as speed and available hiding places, requiring choices about where and when to look. After completing a Phase, the player selects either quicker leaning or additional energy. Later Phases add obstacles and demand listening, logic, timing, and planning. Completing the main Phases unlocks Hardcore Mode, which increases the challenge and removes upgrade choices. Radios available after Phases and hidden easter eggs provide story details.
