ActionIs Pangman worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VR arcade fans who want short, action-focused stages rather than complex tutorials
- Small groups seeking cooperative or competitive sphere-bursting matches
- Players who prefer seated or room-scale VR without movement through the game world
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking deep systems or a slow strategic pace may find the arcade structure too focused on immediate action
- Players who want a broad variety of genres or mechanics may find repeated sphere-bursting less varied over extended sessions
- VR users without interest in cartoon presentation, humor, or retro game references may not connect with the presentation
Our take on Pangman
The simplified arcade format keeps the action direct, but sacrifices the complexity of games built around elaborate systems, exploration, or extended tutorials. Its 140-level campaign and infinite online mode add volume without changing the central sphere-bursting loop.
What is Pangman?
Pangman is a VR arcade game about bursting alien spheres with two guns that become hooks when thrown.
Its story campaign contains 140 levels playable alone or cooperatively with one friend. An arena mode supports competitive matches with up to 8 players, while an infinite online mode provides additional play beyond the campaign. The game uses simplified controls and does not require physical movement, allowing seated play or room-scale sessions in a 2x2-meter space. A slow-motion power-up alters the flow of time. The presentation uses colorful cartoon graphics, 3D spatial sound effects, 30 soundtrack themes, humorous writing, and references to classic games and The Matrix. Compatibility includes VR headsets such as Vive, Oculus, and WMR, plus selected controllers and accessories.
