ActionIs HUMANITY worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Puzzle players who want action-platforming sections between strategic challenges
- Creative players interested in building custom stages
- VR users who want an overhead view of large moving crowds
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a straightforward platformer may hit a wall when solving crowd-routing puzzles becomes central
- Players who prefer short, single-purpose levels may find the mix of puzzles, action sections, and boss encounters uneven
- Players without interest in directing groups of people may not connect with the central command system
Our take on HUMANITY
The bounce point arrives when a simple movement challenge becomes a crowd-management puzzle: each command must guide many people toward the exit while accounting for jumps, turns, pushes, floating, shooting, and climbing. Players who want direct control of one character may lose interest at that shift.
What is HUMANITY?
HUMANITY combines puzzle-solving with action-platforming.
Players control a Shiba Inu that directs large groups of marching people through 90 story-mode stages. Commands can make the crowds jump, turn, push, float, shoot, or climb toward an exit. The campaign mixes strategic puzzles with action-oriented sections, platforming levels, and boss encounters. An in-game Stage Creator supports custom puzzles, action stages, and visual sculptures. The game can be played on a standard display or in optional VR, where the player views the crowds from above. Its presentation uses a stark visual style, with creative direction from Yugo Nakamura and game creation by Tetsuya Mizuguchi.
How HUMANITY plays
- 01Crowd Direction
- The dog issues commands that send groups of people through movement and traversal challenges.
- 02Story Campaign
- The main mode contains 90 stages that combine puzzles, platforming sections, and boss encounters.
- 03Stage Creator
- Custom stages can take the form of puzzles, action levels, or sculptural scenes.
- 04Optional VR Mode
- VR play places the player above the marching crowds instead of using only a standard display.
