Our take on Anarcute
Rather than centering action on a lone hero, the game puts a crowd under direct control. Group size affects strength, and the city itself becomes part of combat through throwable objects and destructible buildings.
What is Anarcute?
Anarcute is an action game about leading a crowd rather than controlling one character.
Recruit fellow rioters in cities to grow the group, whose size increases its strength and unlocks devastating abilities. Use objects such as phone booths, fire hydrants, trash cans, bikes, and cars as projectiles against the Brainwash Patrol. Large crowds can also bring down buildings and use the city layout during fights. Enemies and hazards include electric turrets, spider robots, helicopters, lasers, and mortars. The campaign spans 5 cities, including Tokyo, Paris, Reykjavik, and Miami, each with distinct visual and audio settings. Exploring the cities can reveal animals, and the crowd can be customized.
How Anarcute plays
- 01Crowd-Based Combat
- Recruiting more rioters increases the group’s strength and grants access to devastating abilities.
