Our take on Owari
Rather than using exploration, character progression, or combat as its central structure, Owari builds play around Mancala's stone-sowing and capture rules, with victory determined by reaching 25 points.
What is Owari?
Owari is a Mancala variant centered on sowing stones and capturing from the opponent's row.
Players take stones from a pit and sow them around the board. Scoring occurs when the final stone lands in a pit containing two or three stones, and the first player to reach 25 points wins. A tutorial introduces the basic rules. Solo play includes three AI difficulty levels: easy focuses on capturing, medium pays more attention to defense, and hard plans one move ahead.
Multiplayer supports local matches and online play. Online options include hosting a private lobby for a friend or joining a public lobby. The game draws inspiration from the DOS title Wari: The Ancient Game of Africa and uses a modern aesthetic.
