Our take on Impossiball
The game trades the simplicity and predictability of classic Pong for a crowded arena shaped by 500 balls and temporary effects. That choice creates variety through power-ups and multiple modes, but leaves less room for a restrained, skill-only presentation.
What is Impossiball?
Impossiball reworks Pong around three local multiplayer modes: IMPOSSIBALL, DODGEBALL, and LONEBALL.
IMPOSSIBALL fills play with 500 balls and 10 power-ups, including effects that alter ball direction, visibility, speed, ship size, controls, goals, or movement. DODGEBALL focuses on avoiding orange balls that grow and accelerate, with some power-ups changing their effects. LONEBALL presents a single glowing ball with chip-tune music as a tribute to the original Pong. Modes support solo play, two-player matches, or two- to four-player cooperative and versus games. Input options include mouse, keyboard, and up to four controllers.
