Our take on Original Journey
The generated level structure brings variation to the journey, but gives up a wholly fixed stage sequence. The combat also shares space with racing and sharpshooting missions, so the experience is not limited to one activity throughout.
What is Original Journey?
Original Journey is a 2D science-fiction action-adventure about a rookie soldier from the Ato, a spacefaring people whose homeworld is in danger.
Under a celebrated commander, the soldier travels across Planet Shadow to find the Origin Stone, an ancient artifact said to be able to save their home. Combat uses alien weapons that can be dual-wielded and upgraded, along with mech armor and strategically placed turrets. The journey includes racing, sharpshooting, and other mission types, as well as battles against groups of monstrous enemies. Its levels are procedurally generated, with hidden secrets to uncover, and the story follows the Ato people's struggle to survive and the truths behind their invasion.
