Our take on Orebody: Binder's Tale
The likely sticking point is Boss Rush: the mode asks players to face every boss in a row with only three lives. Anyone expecting a forgiving sequence of individual encounters may hit that limit before reaching the end.
What is Orebody: Binder's Tale?
This run-and-gun shooter follows Binder, an orphaned battle bot, across the alien world of Orebody.
The campaign sends Binder through environments including burning forests, city slums, and a floating robot fortress, with the goal of reaching Galvanstad and confronting the makers responsible for the mentor’s death. Players run, jump, expand Binder’s move set, use multiple weapon types, and fight 15 bosses. The campaign has Novice and Advanced difficulty modes.
Boss Rush challenges players to defeat every boss in sequence with three lives. The Steam release also includes Orebody: Sand Ripples, a short box-pushing puzzle game about a sand squid trying to protect the Great Sand Sea Solorus from destructive mining. Jukebox mode provides access to the soundtrack, alongside extras such as concept art and a scan of the manual.
