Rather than using a conventional action structure built around movement and combat, Orb Tower applies roguelike progression to bubble matching. Magic schools, item effects, tower advancement, and bosses replace the usual single-screen puzzle format with a run-based climb.
What is Orb Tower?
Orb Tower combines bubble-matching puzzles with roguelike progression.
Players choose one of 8 magic schools, equip a mage with 15 items that have special effects, and clear levels while collecting coins. The goal is to climb the tower through more than 300 hand-crafted levels and face 5 bosses. Gameplay uses a single-button control scheme based on holding and clicking the mouse. The presentation uses pixel art and chiptune music. Each run adds items and challenges to the classic bubble-puzzle structure, while the tower provides a sequence of stages to progress through.
