Our take on Onsen Master
Rather than centering on combat or exploration, this casual game turns hot spring upkeep into the main activity. Its structure combines customer management with a visual-novel-style supernatural story, then separates that narrative from a direct-play arcade mode and local competition.
What is Onsen Master?
Manage customers at hot springs across the fantasy island of Izajima.
Prepare ingredients that correspond to different ailments, restore several onsens, and reconnect the surrounding communities while investigating the island’s supernatural history. Story Mode follows Mu, who takes over the role of a missing onsen master as yokai disrupt the springs. The campaign covers 6 hot spring levels and uses visual-novel-style scenes. Arcade Mode removes the story for direct play, while local multiplayer supports 1-2 players in competitive customer-management matches at the same spring. The game also includes an original soundtrack and controller support for Xbox and PS4 gamepads.
