Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a forgiving progression system may find permanent death too punishing when enabled.

- Players wanting a primarily story-driven RPG may find the emphasis on combat, loot, and dungeon systems less suitable.
Our take on Once upon a Dungeon
The store presents the game as a hardcore roguelike, but permanent death is optional and three difficulty modes are available. That framing may give a narrower impression than the selectable challenge structure supports.
What is Once upon a Dungeon?
Once upon a Dungeon is a turn-based roguelike set in dark, procedurally generated dungeons.
Combat focuses on physical attacks and spells, with weapons and magic producing different effects based on their types.
