What is Old Shadow?
This fantasy game imagines what might happen if a creature from beneath a mountain survived a fall into a volcano.
Transported to a distant cavern, it must recover 15 ring shards and rebuild an ancient forge. Each shard grants a distinct ability that can affect enemies and open ways forward. Survival involves managing threats from hunger, cold, and drowning, with heat sources needed to stay warm. Crafting uses materials and ingredients to build structures such as walls, bridges, towers, and traps, including defenses against attacks. The caves vary in enemies, vegetation, and lighting, and include environments such as swamps and an underground lake. Nine hidden masks provide permanent effects, including fire protection and underwater breathing.
