Our take on Occlude
The defining structure is solitaire played without fully disclosed rules: progress comes from testing assumptions, reading the signs, and gradually learning each Ritual.
What is Occlude?
Occlude presents solitaire as a sequence of occult puzzles with concealed rules.
Players discover how each Ritual works through experimentation, using coins as signs of progress. The game includes seven Rituals that become more difficult, along with Cardinals: alternate versions that function as separate puzzles. Classic Mode uses demanding randomization, while Story Mode adds a second free cell, unlimited undo, and less punishing randomization. Progress reveals narrative material, secret documents, and access to deeper lore in the Archives. Seven Entities are aware of the player’s activity, while sound cues change according to proximity to a solution. The game is single-player and frames its card challenges around a cosmic-horror story about attempts to alter reality.
