Our take on Oakwood
The defining structure is survival through evasion: sprinting from prehistoric predators, hiding in dark areas, and finding ways to avoid detection while investigating the campground.
What is Oakwood?
Oakwood is a single-player first-person horror adventure set in an abandoned campground in British Columbia.
Players search the woods, caves, and a deteriorating lodge for missing friends while investigating clues about the violent events at the campsite. Prehistoric predators patrol the grounds, creating an evasion-focused structure built around sprinting away, hiding in dark corridors, and finding ways to avoid detection. Exploration also reveals the campground’s history and its ominous surroundings. The setting includes forest paths, caves, and lodge interiors, with survival taking place across dark areas where predators can pursue or detect the player.
