Our take on NORCO
Its defining detail is the setting: a surreal South Louisiana where sinking suburbs, oil infrastructure, disappearing wetlands, and suburban New Orleans shape the investigation into Blake’s disappearance.
What is NORCO?
NORCO is a dialogue-focused point-and-click adventure set in a distorted South Louisiana shaped by sinking suburbs, oil refineries, drainage ditches, and industrial swamps.
After the protagonist’s mother dies, her brother Blake goes missing. The search follows a fugitive security android through suburban New Orleans and develops into a multigenerational mystery involving memory, technology, nature, and salvation. Gameplay combines dialogue, exploration, puzzle solving, and fights against corporate security. The journey also reaches an abandoned mall occupied by an influencer cult. Characters include a bayou pirate, a private detective, an escaped security android, and a stuffed childhood monkey. Painterly pixel art, field recordings, sound design, and post-industrial electronic music shape the presentation.
