Our take on Foolish Mortals
The gentle supernatural tone trades horror intensity for a safer mystery experience: there are no deaths, dead ends, or scares. The game therefore relies on investigation, item-based puzzles, characters, and atmosphere rather than danger or frightening encounters.
What is Foolish Mortals?
Set on Devil's Rock in 1933 Louisiana, this point-and-click adventure follows an investigation into a wedding that vanished thirty years earlier, along with the location of Bellemore Manor's lost treasure.
The mystery involves a haunted household, spirits, and an evil phantom searching for the treasure. Players solve classic-style puzzles using more than 100 items, with a built-in hint system available. The game includes more than 75 hand-drawn locations, plus paintings, documents, and other details to investigate. Its supernatural setting is presented as cozy rather than frightening, with no deaths, dead ends, or scares. The full-length experience features more than 35 characters, over two hours of original music, and professional animation.
