Our take on NOCE
The defining structure is a five-planet action journey where each cleared stage adds a cloud weapon that changes both combat and movement options.
What is NOCE?
NOCE is a pixel-art action game set across five planets.
The protagonist fights with an energy sword and moves through stages using sliding, double jumps, wall jumps, and roof grabbing. Each cleared stage unlocks a cloud weapon with a distinct role, such as protection, creating footholds, or dealing damage. Enemies populate the stages, while bosses at their ends use varied attack patterns. Progress can resume from the last stopping point, and a title-screen shop can improve NOCE's abilities. The game also includes a space-set story with eccentric characters. Clearing stages reveals hidden items, visuals, and text, which can be reviewed through the MEMORY section to uncover more of the narrative.
How NOCE plays
- 01Cloud weapon system
- New weapons become available after stage clears and can protect NOCE, create platforms, or inflict damage.
- 02Acrobatic movement
- Traversal combines sliding, double jumping, wall jumping, and grabbing overhead surfaces.
- 03Stage bosses
- Every stage ends with a boss whose attacks follow varied behavior.
- 04Story archive
- A MEMORY section stores newly revealed visuals and text for later review.
- 05Ability upgrades
- A title-screen shop provides ways to improve NOCE's abilities.
NOCE compared to similar games
