Our take on No Longer Home
The everyday activities and unusual elements may suggest a broader life simulation, but the core experience centers on a small cast, one flat, and conversations about separation after university. Its scope is intimate rather than expansive, with the emotional premise carrying more weight than mechanical variety.
What is No Longer Home?
No Longer Home follows Bo and Ao, university graduates preparing to leave the South London flat they shared for a year.
Visa restrictions force Ao to return to Japan while Bo remains in England, and both confront uncertain post-university lives. Players explore the flat, inspect personal belongings, and spend time with the characters through everyday activities such as barbecues, video games, and late-night conversations. The story also introduces Lu, a multi-eyed, animal-like new flatmate. The game focuses on the emotional experience of saying goodbye, drawing on the developers’ own separation after university. Its cast includes Bo and Ao’s friends, and its setting combines ordinary domestic life with something unusual growing beneath the flat.
