Our take on Neko Chan
The defining detail is a desktop companion that periodically walks across the screen, takes the mouse, and brings gifts such as music or video.
What is Neko Chan?
Neko Chan places a desktop elf on a Steam player’s computer.
She walks around the desktop and can take the mouse after a configurable waiting period. At intervals, she may deliver text, pictures, toys, music, or videos. Players can choose songs and movies for her to bring. The character has dozens of outfit elements, including hair, tiaras, and costumes, which can be combined in different ways. Settings cover the delay before mouse-taking, the wait between gifts, gift categories, and the maximum number of gifts. Music and video playback are included. Steam Workshop support lets users create additional gifts and share them with other users.
