What is Natural Locomotion?
Natural Locomotion adds a SteamVR driver that translates arm or foot movements into thumbstick-style movement in VR games with smooth directional locomotion.
Swinging hand controllers slowly moves the character forward; faster swings increase movement speed. Foot mode supports walking in place or swinging the feet while seated or using a treadmill. The app includes profiles for listed games and lets users create or edit profiles for others. It also includes tools for aligning VR tracking spaces and converting some SteamVR controllers into trackers. Foot movement can be registered with supported motion-sensing devices, including Vive trackers, Joy-Cons, PS3 Move controllers, and Android phones meeting the stated sensor and version requirements. Comfort options such as field-of-view reduction depend on the individual game.
