RPGIs Million Dungeon worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want match-3 combat tied directly to enemy positions
- RPG fans who enjoy experimenting with hero, weapon, relic, and item combinations
- Turn-based strategy players who prefer varied runs with random quests and encounters
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking real-time combat may bounce off the one-turn-at-a-time battle structure
- Players who want a fixed campaign may find random enemies and quests disruptive to repetition
- Players looking for a pure puzzle game may find the RPG systems and squad-building layer too involved
Our take on Million Dungeon
The bounce point is the combat board: success depends on placing three matching pieces in the correct enemy positions, not simply making matches. Players who prefer independent puzzle and battle phases may hit that wall immediately, as the two systems are joined into each turn.
What is Million Dungeon?
Million Dungeon combines role-playing with tactical match-3 combat across six realms.
Players assemble a squad and defeat enemies by placing three matching pieces in the positions corresponding to their targets. Battles proceed one turn at a time. Random opponents and plot quests add roguelike variation, with activities including rock-paper-scissors contests, sailing journeys, and chamber escapes. Character abilities, weapon traits, relics, and items can be combined into different build styles. The story spans eight maps and mixes comic scenes with warmer, more emotional episodes. Combat strategy is tied directly to the matching board rather than treating the two systems as separate activities.
How Million Dungeon plays
- 01Position-based matching
- An enemy can be defeated when three matching pieces occupy the relevant locations on the board.
- 02Turn-based battles
- Combat advances in discrete turns, giving each action a defined place in the encounter.
- 03Roguelike events
- Random foes and quests vary the journey, with side activities including sailing and chamber escapes.
- 04Build combinations
- Heroes, weapons, relics, and items can be mixed into multiple strategic setups.
- 05Eight-map story
- The narrative is divided across eight maps and includes both humorous and emotional episodes.
