RPGIs Messy Up worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Friends who want cooperative destruction with up to three players
- Players who enjoy switching between mischievous pets and a defending owner
- Casual players interested in customizable animal characters and varied game modes
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a deep, long-form destruction simulation may hit a wall when the game shifts to short role-based mischief and capture play.
- Solo players may find the owner-versus-pets setup less engaging without a group to fill the opposing roles.
- Players who want a single focused campaign may not enjoy the mix of missions, rescue activities, collection tasks, and construction mode.
- Users without Steam may not be able to play the listed version.
Our take on Messy Up
The bounce point arrives when players must choose between causing damage as a pet and defending furniture as the owner. Anyone looking for a single-role experience may lose interest at that role switch, while solo players may reach the same wall when cooperative pet play is the main appeal.
What is Messy Up?
Messy Up is a multiplayer game about cats and dogs creating disorder in homes to attract their owner's attention.
Players can control a pet, using individual abilities and household mechanisms such as fans, doors, soccer balls, and takeout food to damage furniture and buildings. Other players can act as the owner, defending objects and capturing mischievous animals. Up to three players can cooperate as pets. The game includes rescue activities, locations such as homes, beaches, offices, and castles, and several gameplay modes beyond the main missions. Players can customize pet companions, collect photos, trophies, qualifications, and keychains, and decorate a pet home in a DIY construction mode. Steam Remote Play is supported.
