Play it if you…
Good fit- Turn-based RPG fans who want investigations alongside battles, rather than combat alone.
- Players interested in switching between a detective protagonist and an exorcist protagonist, rather than following one lead character.
- Story-focused RPG players who want companions developed through conversation, rather than a party without relationship elements.

- Players who prefer little dialogue may find the investigation and companion conversations a poor fit.
Our take on Mato Anomalies
The two protagonists have distinct stated roles: Doe investigates, while Gram fights in Rifts. The description names combat systems such as shared health, gear and talents, but gives no example of how these elements affect a particular battle.
What is Mato Anomalies?
Mato Anomalies is a turn-based RPG set in a neo-futuristic city.
Players control Doe, a private detective who gathers clues by speaking with residents, taking missions and visiting shops, and Gram, an exorcist who enters Rifts to fight demonic enemies. Rifts are portals to a place beyond space and time. The two protagonists meet companions during their investigations, and conversations and shared experiences build trust. Combat uses shared health across team members, along with gear and a dual-talent system. Players investigate strange events across the city, enter Rifts to battle their inhabitants and pursue the secrets behind the city’s fate.
